At long last the updates to the DotNetNuke forums module have been released and I have happily installed the update. Some things that you *may* need to do so it actually works for you:
- Edit your profile, set any tracking you might want, update profile.
- Upload an avatar
Try posting a new thread before step #1 and after step #1. I found that as a general registered user I was unable to start new threads but could edit/reply. Once I went in and updated my profile it all started working. I posted that to the DotNetNuke forums so the programmer can see what would cause that strange behavior, but in the meantime at least it ended up working for me.
One of the greatest benefits of this new version is that the email notifications actually work! Now you can keep up to date with new threads all the freaking time instead of having to look for them. Woot!
