Garra was born to a normal Celestine family, mother, father, and older brother, unfortunately this older brother, Katon who happened to be seven years older then Garra and the jealous type. He always hated Garra, it was apparent to anyone at a glance, except Garra’s parents.

This hatred only became a real issue when Garra’s parents would go out of town, Garra would be left in Katon’s care. Katon would torment him while there parents where away, nothing that would ever leave a mark though. When Garra’s parents returned home he would tell them what had happened but they would never believe him because he had no proof.

This all changed when Garra was seven, his parents had left town on business and his brother decided to make a bold move. He locked Garra in what he called “The Shrine”, it was a small storage space under there house that could be only be accessed by a trap door in the corner of the house; it was always dark and had a massive spider infestation.

After being thrown in Garra began screaming for help, but all this led to was his brother telling him to cover his mouth and nose or the spiders would eat his brain. So Garra did as he was told and covered his face with his hands. He was down there so long that he gave up screaming because he knew no one but his brother could hear him. Katon intended to leave him down there for three days, anticipating his parents return home on the fourth; however his parents returned home two days early. When Garra heard his parent’s voices he began screaming again and was soon released.

After being released Garra was covered in spiders, when they had all been brushed away hundreds of bites were revealed. It took hours for his parents to convince him to remove his hands from his face and only after he was given a scarf to cover it with. Ever since then he has only felt comfortable and safe when his face is covered, this incident also caused him to a major fear of spiders and have nightmares about them.

Garra’s parents threw Katon out of the house in their rage and forbid him from ever returning. Upon leaving Katon swore an oath of vengeance on his family, especially his little brother. No one that Garra has met has actually seen Katon since that day but rumors of his crimes have reached Garra’s ears from time to time.

Two years after that incident Garra’s parent went out on one of there business trips and never returned. There bodies were never found and no one had seen them since there departure, there was also no sign of them at the Inn they had intended to stay at. Garra believes his brother is responsible for the disappearance of his parents so he always listens intently to the rumors of his brother. Finding his brother and discovering the truth and then possibly killing his brother are his ultimate goals.

At the time of the disappearance Garra was too young to support himself so he ended up taking to the streets. He found surviving on the streets difficult but soon found a gang of young kids who made there living as pickpockets and joined up with them. He found it very easy to pick pockets and found little regret in it.

Four years later Garra came to the realization that the real money was in armed robbery, so he set out to become a highwayman. Some of the kids from his gang had already taken this path so using those connections he found a band of highway men that would take him on. He was taught the basics of swordsmanship, armed robbery, and especially stealth.

To accomplish this goal the robbers used a decoy system that worked something like this. One man would hide himself off to the side of the road and assess travelers that went by, if he saw one he thought was worth robbing he would signal down the road with a bird call to tell his companions that there is a target coming along. The companions down the road consisted of five men, one of which would distract the traveler as he passed, asking for the directions or something like that while the other five men would stealthily loot the traveler. If the traveler ignored the distractions then another bird call would be sent down the line where another team of five men would set up a road block and stop the traveler by force; while four of the five men from before would rush up behind the traveler preventing escape. Past the second set of five men was another look out to warn of upcoming travelers. Having the second lookout allows the robbers to loot travelers from both directions as well as keep them safe.

After a little over a year with these men the gang attempted to attack a caravan that was passing through. Unfortunately this caravan belonged to mercenaries and as such was heavily armed; the gang was killed on the spot. Garra would have been too except one of the mercenaries stepped forward and saved him. He was one of the leaders of the mercenaries and saw potential in Garra’s fighting style. He determined that he would admit Garra to the mercenaries and train him. This man was Master Zhao, and over the course of the next six years he trained Garra to fight in the style of Iaijutsu.

As a mercenary Garra spent plenty of his time training but was also utilized for recon and scouting. From time to time he was able to participate in the little skirmishes by the border but those opportunities were less common.

Garra stayed with the mercenaries for six years until his master choose was slain in one of these skirmishes. Feeling his training was incomplete Garra set off for the academy hearing of an amazing warrior by the name of Jane under whom he would like to train. He was soon enlisted and was allowed to train at the academy.

Going the Academy has been one of the best decisions of my life; I have been able to improve my skills by working with Jane. He uses a standard broadsword so it takes some work to translate his moves it into moves for my katana but it has worked so far. I have also been entered into a company which has given me some very interesting battle experience. We recently vanquished a demon and our most recent encounter was reminiscent of old times.

I was hand picked by the lead scout of our company, his name is Vance and he is an amazing scout, and a very agreeable man to be around. I made his acquaintance while training with Jane, he was apparently watching and was interested in my katana. I was more then happy to explain all I knew of it and let him examine it. This new acquaintance has been much to my benefit because he has chosen me for the latest mission and has given me a rank.

After hearing that our latest mission was to attacking and looting a caravan I felt more then qualified for this mission. There is, however, no way, he could have know that I had experience in this field. I truly enjoyed the mission and got to see a monster of a man reek havoc on the caravan. One of the party leaders is whose name is Mort; he stands a whole head above me, and wields a huge axe and metal shield. It was amazing to see the pure destructive power of that man.

After retrieving the item we came for we captured a prisoner and Mort interrogated him, after of course, we retrieved the party’s holy man, a priest named Nim. Mort's interrogation went smoothly, I probably could have done better but Nim doesn’t like torture and Mort is a little to big to cross. As a redeeming fact Mort did behead the man as soon as he got all the information he could from him.

After returning Aerith both Vance and myself returned to training Jane, this time I got to witness Vance’s training. He appears to be a skilled swordsman; nowhere near Jane’s level but superior to my own. After the training, I spent my time entertaining Vance as well as some of the other scouts with a few card tricks I had picked up in my youth.

We were then informed of a party that we were to attend for Edward’s promotion, Edward being the leader of my company. The party was drab but I did find interest in observing Cole and Mort dealing with the Captain of the Guards. It appears that Cole is interested in her and that Mort either does not approve of this or dislikes her, I was able to read his lips when he told her to stay away from Cole even though Cole would keep coming back. I intercepted Mort after this altercation and asked him if he would like me to follow Cole but he declined my offer. Being the size of this man I decided defying him would be suicide, so I let things be.

After Edward’s ceremony our company will be deployed to Pangoria, who is under siege. Once again we are off to march directly into the lion’s mouth in hopes of killing it before it bites down, but I have taken comfort in the caliber of our leadership and the men in the company in which I serve.

We never made it to Pangoria; we were redirected to accompany Edward in closing a mana well.  There was only a few problems with this change, first a huge jungle started to grow around the mana well, second it is pitch black in the jungle, and third there are tiny black demons swarming everywhere.  The only good thing about this jungle is there are no huge spiders, but other then that this place is terrible.

The first night we were in here we were ambushed by some of the small demons and driven from our rest.  We did however find a village that was protected by a column of light.  It appears there church bell generates the light and the demons are unable to see into the light or pass through it.

We took our rest here, and Mort decided to waste some time and bring these people provisions from the destroyed cities outside of the light.  After some rest though we continued on with our journey and actually found a path to follow.

Along this path we found large circles of scorched earth and stacked in the middle of these were pyramids of skulls meticulously arranged so that they all face the same way.  Oddly enough there were no other bones in the area.  We found two of these piles before we found the rest of the bones.

We found these bones in the process of being piled based on type by those hellish little demons that appeared to be following the orders of a much larger demon. We decided to attack this demon and upon noticing us the demon summoned two bigger demons and the battle ensued.  In the end we were successful in defeating all the demons and discovered that the bones had been cursed.  Nim used his abilities to nullify the course and we moved on.

Finally we found the mana well nestled between two craters, there were about 20 mages doing something to a massive hole in a sky. There appeared to be two of the large demons we fought earlier and about 50 of the small demons guarding them.  I was informed that the mages were probably trying to make the hole large enough to allow the massive demon on the other side out.

Realizing the impending danger we attacked one of the groups of mages, but triggered some magical alarm in the process.  Mages then masked themselves in darkness which didn't stop Mort or Cole from rushing in but prevented the rest of us.  Mort had passed me his blessed sword realizing I had superior sword skills.  With that sword I was able to kill the first of the two demons in one hit.  Unfortunately another demon appeared by the mana well and let out a terrifying howl, which sent a chill through my whole body.  Apparently I blacked out because the next thing I remember is waking up with all the big demons dead and everyone else killing the small demons.
