Ratlings appear to be bipedal rats, with fully functional hands.  They have short claws that allow them to more easily climb sheer surfaces or dig more easily.

Ratlings tend to live either in packs in the wild (choosing existing caves or making burrows) or, if the city is willing to let them live there, in the less desirable parts of towns.  Ratlings have been known to take residence in city sewers (if they exist), or in any formal dumping grounds.

Ratlings love shiny objects, and individual ratlings tend to have a cache of worthless shiny baubles.

Ratlings may also purchase Knacks of certain spells from the Light & Darkness and Movement colleges.

Ratlings followed other immigrants that came to the Inarian region after the fall of the Dark King.
